I had this idea to bring in some leaves and branches to shoot some product at work. I couldn’t help it but just shoot the leaves themselves and decided to take off my shoes and throw them in the shot as well. I’ve almost exclusively been a natural light photographer, and it’s still my preferred choice. I really enjoy the challenge of creating photos in lighting conditions I can’t control. It’s like a really fun puzzle or game to try and solve. I have always respected studio photographers and their ability to control and manipulate light to do exactly what they want. The more I get to shoot with strobes, the more I begin to enjoy it and the different type of puzzles and problems you have to solve while in studio. These photos were a lot of fun and I really liked the tones I was able to get.
